Q: Is there currently a class action lawsuit against the makers of Zoloft for women who took it while pregnant?
I heard that there is currently a class action lawsuit against the makers of zoloft, for women who took this drug during pregnancy and their babies were born with health problems. But I cannot find any information on this? Does anyone know about this lawsuit and where I can read more information about it? I prefer NOT to read this from a money hungry attorney's or Lawyers website, I would like good solid public information if possible.

Well, I do know that taking zolft is associated with a serious lung and heart condition in a percentage of babies whose mothers are taking it while pregnant, that is a fact, that was on Canadian TV. But, I haven't heard about the lawsuit.

Just wondering what would happen if a person was feeling blue, and then took some of their prescribed zoloft. But that person doesn't take zoloft regularly, so it made him/her cranky and tired. Now that person wants to smoke something illegal to counteract the bad effects, but that person also has a lot of homework to do, and wants to drink some coffee or coke to keep him or herself awake? Would there be side effects because of combining all of the drugs?
A: Drink some coffee, wake up, finish homework. Then smoke, and go to bed.

I have been on Zoloft for panic attacks and general anxiety for about 7 weeks now. The last 3 or 4 days I have been getting these lightheaded, out of body, surreal feeling in my head. Does this sound like a temporary effect from the medicine? Has anyone else experienced this before?
A: Not likely a side effect as it would be unusual for this to happen at that stage of treatment. I'd suggest seeing your doc to rule out any possible medical issues and discuss it with the psychiatrist who's prescribing or ask for a psychiatric referral if you've been getting it from a PCP. It may be a breakthrough symptom of derealization which is often associated with Panic Disorder.
Q: What happens when I snort Adderall and Zoloft together?
Me, and a few friends snorted Adderall and Zoloft (100mg) together. And now Me and one of them are throwing up blood. And the other two of us have major head achs and all four of us have really bad sore throats. Is there any real bad things we should worry about?
A: Wow, really are serious right now? You know darn well, that`s bad for you and can mess you up. Don`t ever do that again. You need to admit yourself to the nearest hospital ASAP. If someone took 5 Zoloft pills within 3 days, and then 2 days after that had an army drug test. I know the army drug tests test for pot, coke, heroine lsd and mdma. And the scan for other pills and drugs are random. What are the chances of this person getting busted..?

A: If they are prescription, thepersonn has nothing to worry about. However, I don't know a prescription requiring dosage that extreme. Maybe they need to get caught to get some help.
Q: How can I lose weight while taking Zoloft?
I have been taking Zoloft (100mg) for almost 3 years and have gained over 20 pounds in that time. I finally feel "normal" and have been able to handle emotional situations in a calmer manner. However, the weight is taking a toll on my health and I've had to buy a new wardrobe.
Has anyone been successful losing weight while taking this med? I feel like I have to choose between being happy or being thin.
A: I have lost over 100 pounds and I was on Zoloft. You just need to reduce the amount of calories you eat during the day and start to exercise. Start slow, do some light cardio (swimming is fantastic). Do some weight training also (muscle burns fat). You can loose weight you just need to be dedicated.

A: For me, Zoloft had fewer (well, at least less intense) side effects than Lexapro. Both caused sexual problems (same with Celexa...another SSRI closely related chemically to Lexapro). The actual difference bewteen Z and L is the chemical make up. Sometimes one SSRI will work well for a person when another SSI has not been effective or has not been well tolerated. Sometimes another class of meds is the way to go.

i was on prozac for a little over a month but didn't help my anxiety. after i stopped i waited two weeks and then got on lexapro. i was only on lexapro 2 days and stopped because of the bad side effects. Its been 3 days since stopping the lexparo, i want to try zoloft next, should i wait a little longer for the old meds to get out of my system or is it safe to start zoloft?

Let's say the Zoloft was only 50 mg in the first place. For only two weeks.
A: The most common withdrawl symtom is vertigo. I was on 100mg and just came off last month by slowly reducing the dosage. If you've only been on it for 2 weeks you shouldn't have a problem as it typically takes 4-6 weeks to reach therepeautic levels in your system.
Q: Is it safe to take MucinexD if Im takeing 50mg of the antidepression medication Zoloft a day?
My birthday party is tommorw and I wounld like to feel as good as possible. Its it ok for me to take MucinexD if I only take Zoloft once a day in 50mg doses? If not what else could I do to feel better. I have congestion and a headache and a low grade fever. Anything helps. Thanks.

Q: How different are Zoloft and Cymbalta?
I just switched from 100 mg of Zoloft to 120 of Cymbalta and the pharmacist told me they were very different. Is this true? If so, how different are they? Is Cymbalta a very strong anti-depressant?
A: I used Zoloft and packed on 60 lbs. within 8 months! I don't know if it was ALL of Zoloft's "fault" as I also take Klonopin (don't know if that affects weight gain at all?) and I don't have the best diet either. It seemed like during the last couple of months on Zoloft it just went "kaput." I have been on Cymbalta now for about 8 months. As far as the weight issue is concerned, it has been weight neutral. I haven't gained more weight nor have I lost any. However, I'm not making any extra effort to lose it either. This may be a bit of too much information but Cymbalta did seem to have an affect on my digestive system and I had a lot of constipation. But I counteracted that w/drinking lots of water and that is no longer an issue. Cymbalta really seems to help me more than Zoloft did w/my anxiety-especially my OCD. I've been ordering both medication online. Hope this helps somewhat.
